Overview
Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer for a Charlotte, NC-based role. This person will work on a hybrid schedule, reporting to the office 2 to 3 days per week. Responsibilities
Design and review electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including power distribution, protection systems, and control systems. Evaluate technical submittals, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project standards and regulatory requirements. Support the commissioning and startup of renewable energy facilities. Troubleshoot electrical issues in the field or remotely, recommending corrective actions. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including single-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment datasheets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, civil, and SCADA/control engineers. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and industry best practices. Conduct technical calculations and simulations (e.g., load flow, short-circuit, grounding). Support continuous improvement initiatives for design standards and operational efficiency. Qualifications (Must Have Skills)
1-5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer MUST HAVE an Electrical Engineer Degree (Bachelor's at a minimum) Knowledge of power systems, renewable energy generation, and electrical codes (NEC, IEC, IEEE). Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, PSS/E, ETAP, or similar) Details
