Responsibilities
Work with a variety of health care professionals and security officers in a correctional environment. Frequently functions guided by nursing protocols. Functions as a team leader as assigned. Demonstrate competency in assessment and identification of the physical health of adults (18 to 64 years) and geriatrics (65+) across population groups and their personal strengths. Identify inmate-centered goals and nursing objectives and implement prescribed interventions and solutions for the identified problems. Provide direct and indirect nursing care to meet physiological, psychosocial and emotional needs of inmate-patients within the framework of the correctional system.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a license to practice in the State of New Jersey. CPR certification required. Computer literacy. Certifications/Licenses: Valid Driver's License is required. Must possess own vehicle or alternative means of transportation between sites. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) or equivalent preferred. Minimum of one year of experience in a correctional setting preferred.
