We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in Radiation Oncology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services in the field of radiation oncology. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of various healthcare projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse cases and make a significant impact in the medical field. Responsibilities
Conducting patient consultations to assess medical history and determine appropriate treatment plans. Administering radiation therapy to patients according to established protocols. Monitoring and evaluating patient response to treatment and adjusting plans as needed. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and treatment strategies. Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment procedures and potential side effects. Documenting patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately in medical records. Participating in departmental meetings, case reviews, and continuing education activities. Adhering to all regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards. Requirements
Medical degree from an accredited institution and valid MD license. Board certification in Radiation Oncology. Demonstrated experience in providing radiation therapy treatments. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of current trends and advancements in Radiation Oncology. Flexibility to adapt to different work settings and patient populations. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30a-4p 24-hour call, 1:2 rotation Setting: Outpatient Daily Volume: 10-15 patients Required Procedures: Conventional radiotherapy, 3D radiotherapy, 3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT, SBRT, stereotactic radiosurgery, fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy Support Staff: Additional radiation oncologist, APP EMR: Aria & Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
