We are currently seeking MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Radiation Oncology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing radiation therapy to cancer patients, contributing to their treatment and recovery. You will be involved in cutting-edge projects aimed at improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of oncology. Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients according to prescribed radiation doses and treatment plans. Monitor and assess patient reactions to radiation therapy and adjust treatment parameters as necessary. Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other medical professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during radiation therapy sessions. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments, progress, and outcomes. Stay current with advancements in radiation oncology treatments and technologies. Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding radiation therapy procedures and potential side effects. Requirements
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution. Board certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology. Valid state medical license to practice as a Radiation Oncologist. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for treatment planning and monitoring. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in the field of Radiation Oncology. Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to care. Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p Call
10 days per month Daily Volume
Approximately 15 on treatment, 6 clinic patients, 2-3 consults per day Required Procedures
External beam 3D radiation therapy, IMRT, SBRT, and CT simulation Equipment
Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator Support Staff
Physicist, certified dosimetrist, radiation therapists, PRN, RN, nurse navigators, LSW, and dietician EMR
Aria and Epic Radiation Planning System
Eclipse Certification
