Summary Oversees and guides the daily operations of clinical research to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Provides strategic direction and leadership to research program. Responsibilities Works with and educates physicians, sponsors and other research staff to acquire and implement new research protocols. Stays abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in clinical research, translating insights into actionable strategies for the organization. Supports the development and implementation of key performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to ensure transparency, quality, efficiency, and alignment with institutional research goals. Provides scientific and strategic guidance to research teams, ensuring the highest standards of scientific rigor, quality assurance, compliance and ethics in clinical research. Improves workflow optimization by developing new and improving existing workflows, policies and SOPs that promote standardization and best practices across research activities within the health system. Develops and drives the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical trials and research studies, and oversee regulatory affairs and compliance aspects of the clinical research. Provides direct supervision of Research Specialist managers, Research Regulatory managers and all staff reporting to them in their absence. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including academic partners, industry leaders, and funding agencies, to enhance research opportunities and apply for funding. Competencies Masters degree in research, biology, chemistry, physical sciences, social sciences, public health, health sciences, math, statistics or related field of study. Five (5) years of health care work experience and two (2) years' supervisory experience required.
