The Greater Grand Island Community Foundation is seeking a Communications Officer to lead our communications strategy and bring our mission to life through compelling storytelling, design, and outreach. This role is both creative and hands-on, responsible for designing and producing print and digital materials, managing social media and website content, coordinating media relations, and acting as the Foundation lead for assigned projects. As part of a highly collaborative small team, we’re looking for someone who enjoys working with others but also takes initiative. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a communications plan and annual calendar. Design and produce newsletters, reports, brochures, and event materials. Manage the Foundation’s website, social media platforms, and digital campaigns. Coordinate press releases, media coverage, and community outreach. Lead Foundation communications and logistics for events Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field; or 3–5 years of relevant professional experience. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro). Experience with websites, social media platforms, and analytics tools. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects on deadline. Why Join Us?
