Overview
The Department of Computer Science at Queens College of the City University of New York invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the general area of algorithms research under the supervision of Dr. Mayank Goswami. Candidates with publications in algorithms and theoretical machine learning, and a strong desire to develop independent research agendas, are encouraged to apply. The position is funded by an NSF grant (Algorithmic Foundations) and is available for 1 year, starting immediately. No teaching is required for this position. This is a 1 year, full-time (35 hours per week) postdoc position. The location will be Queens in New York City, but remote work arrangements can be made with Dr. Goswami. Note: Queens is a diverse locale with close access to several tri-state universities. A PhD in computer science or operations research. Expertise in design and analysis of algorithms or theoretical machine learning. Some coding experience is preferred. Support will be provided by a graduate student, but the design work is the responsibility of the Principal Investigator and the postdoctoral fellow.
