Facility Operations Technician Supervisor (Manufacturing Manager 1)

Overview
This position reports to the TA55 Operations Manager. The Manufacturing Manager 1 will oversee the Facility Operations Supervisor duties and provide day-to-day oversight to the Operations Technician team. It supports facility equipment operation activities within PF-4 and support facilities (e.g., rounds, on-call operator scheduling, facility owned equipment operation, facility gas and chemical management, surveillance performance, initial response for trolley malfunctions). The role will have input to performance grading but is not responsible for evaluations. Shiftwork Note: This section indicates shift-related expectations. What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements: Operational Systems:
Advanced experience with equipment operations in a nuclear facility or equivalent (HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers/chemical addition, air compressors, fire suppression/detection, electrical distribution, diesel generators, etc.). Leadership:
Familiarity with acting as "Person-in-Charge" or Leader during abnormal or emergent events. Problem Solving:
Experience identifying problem areas, investigating alternative solutions, and determining actions for issues affecting operations management. Management:
Expert understanding of operations management aspects as applied to a Nuclear Facility: systems engineering, work control, hazard identification and analysis, formality of operations implementation, work control, work request, Facility Service Request processes, and Integrate Work Document reviews. Maintenance:
Working knowledge of LANL, or equivalent, conduct of maintenance, engineering, operations, and quality assurance programs. Policy and Procedure:
Understanding of Integrated Work Management, Integrated Safety Management (ISM) and Integrated Safeguards and Security Management (ISSM), or equivalent programs, including experience reviewing and approving facility and programmatic work as demonstrated through activity approval processes, IWD and work package reviews and approvals. Training:
Familiarity with training and qualification requirements. Equipment:
Knowledge of facility process equipment and operation. Compliance:
Experience managing operations to comply with Limiting Conditions of Operation (LCO) as specified in the Technical Safety Requirements (TSR), including supervision of surveillances and inspections for DSA/TSR compliance. Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. DOE Order 426.2:
Requires High School Diploma and 3 years of Nuclear Experience. Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in developing or revising technical procedures. Understanding of TA55-specific or equivalent equipment and systems pertaining to facility operations. DOE "Q" clearance. Work Schedule:
This position may require 24/7 coverage, which could involve a shift/weekend schedule. Employees may be eligible for shift differential pay when assigned by their manager. Shift/weekend assignments are at the discretion of the manager. Work Location:
Onsite in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at management discretion. Position Commitment:
