$44,720.00/hr - $46,000.00/hr Position details

Primary objectives: Responsible for conducting outreach, recruitment, eligibility determination, and admissions functions in compliance with government and management directives. Reports to OA Supervisor. Department: OA/CTS. FLSA status: Exempt. Responsibilities

Conduct outreach activities with public service agencies, community organizations, schools and individuals who might refer eligible candidates to Job Corps. Interview interested candidates and obtain pertinent information. Prepare documentation on potential students and review with the center as applicable. Provide orientation for prospects; communicate Job Corps details, center expectations, and schedule tours as appropriate. Maintain monthly goals as directed by management. Contact all prospects within 24 hours as required; record contacts and attempts. Review and audit assigned areas for contractual compliance and effectiveness; prepare related reports. Assist in development of new/revised policies and procedures affecting student recruitment. Create networks with youth development agencies, one-stop agencies, churches and community organizations for broad recruitment outreach. Introduce labor market information to aid career transition and analyze local career paths. Participate in student employability programs and activities. Promote and enforce Job Corps Zero Tolerance Policy. Model and mentor Career Success Standards; monitor behaviors and intervene as needed. Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices. Comply with all relevant regulations and policies; participate in mandated staff training. Travel as required. Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Experience in Job Corps outreach and admissions or equivalent youth development programs. Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or Associate’s degree with two years related experience. Valid State Driver’s License with acceptable driving record. Physical Demands & Work Environment
