Corporate Staff Accountant Department:
Finance Work Location: Plano, TX El Paso, TX Hybrid Schedule:
We support a flexible hybrid work model. For roles eligible for hybrid work, in-office collaboration is typically Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Schedule updates will be communicated in advance. Hybrid eligibility and schedules may vary based on business needs and manager expectations. What you will be doing
Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Accounting, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for month-end close, general ledger review, account reconciliations, and other tasks in support of shared services. Ensure the integrity of accounting for all balance sheet and income statement transactions in accordance with GAAP. Prepare journal entries, schedules and analysis in accordance with GAAP for month-end close. Perform month-end close of sub-modules for approximately 36 sub-systems. Compile balance sheet account reconciliations. Prepare intercompany transactions and ensure variances are corrected timely. Prepare and calculate royalty accruals and payments. Work on intercompany billings and ensure intercompany accounts balance at month end. Create and maintain monthly and quarterly income statement reports. Collaborate with support staff and management to obtain information for financial statements. Perform income statement and balance sheet variance analysis against budget or prior year. Assist internal and external auditors with supporting documentation as needed. Prepare and validate supporting schedules for SEC reporting. Align with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Other projects or tasks as assigned. Skills needed
Able to balance, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Able to interact with various levels of management. Office skills (filing, organizational, presentation). Forward-thinking with strong analytical ability. Strong attention to detail. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in accounting from an accredited four-year college or university. 1+ years of related accounting experience. Solid experience with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. Knowledge in Accounting, General Ledger, and Trial Balance. Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Preferred Qualifications
Hyperion (OneStream), Oracle. Proficient in Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI). Experience with a public company’s requirements. CPA. Benefits
