SUMMARY:
The Sr. Staff Accountant will oversee various financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and analysis. This role requires strong accounting knowledge and effective problem-solving skills to ensure success. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Execute journal entries and account reconciliations for one or more business units. Oversee and ensure proper Fixed Asset management. Assist auditors during annual audits with a focus on SOX compliance. Perform month-end and year-end close procedures. Conduct flux analysis of financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with company policy and accounting standards. Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor expenses. Support inventory cycle count processes, draft reports, and analyze discrepancies. Research and perform stock adjustments as needed. Reconcile inventory with ERP systems and perform root cause analysis. Identify opportunities for cost savings and financial optimization. Maintain the general ledger and review daily subledger batches for accuracy. Perform bank and account reconciliations and analyze variances. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks). Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and analysis. Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability to changing priorities and fast-paced settings. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Accounting. 9+ years of relevant work experience. The selected candidate will undergo a background check and drug screening.
