Job Summary

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment throughout the facility. This role supports daily operations by performing routine cleaning tasks, reporting issues, and following procedures for cleanroom and production areas. The Janitor contributes to the overall health, safety, and efficiency of the workplace.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of production and common areas according to established procedures.
• Follow cleaning protocols for cleanroom environments to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Report damages, safety concerns, and supply shortages to the Janitorial Supervisor.
• Assist with periodic heavy cleaning tasks and specialized projects.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning and sanitation activities.
• Ensure safe and proper use of cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Maintain inventory organization of cleaning supplies as assigned.
• Support a safe and orderly environment by promptly addressing spills or hazards.
• Follow safety procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and, when trained, assist with basic biohazard spill response in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

Job Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while performing cleaning tasks.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and stretching to access work areas.
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds (such as mop buckets, trash bags, cleaning supplies, or equipment).
• Manual dexterity to safely operate cleaning tools and equipment.
• Understanding of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial, or custodial work preferred.
