Overview

The Senior Engineering Manager for the OEM & Wire Management division leads the 125M OEM and Wire Management Engineering PLBT Team for Burndy and Connector Manufacturing Company (both brands within CGT). This role aligns engineering resources with product line initiatives, market trends, and the company’s vision for innovation and excellence. The manager oversees the lifecycle of key product portfolios, guiding concept development, market introduction, and ongoing optimization. The role collaborates cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, and sales to deliver solutions for evolving customer needs across sectors including OEM, renewable energy, transportation, and telecommunications. This position proactively identifies emerging and adjacent connector/wire management technologies for growth. The supervisor fosters accountability and continuous improvement, mentors the team, facilitates knowledge sharing, and champions best practices within the product management discipline. By ensuring robust communication among internal stakeholders, the director drives operational excellence and reinforces Hubbell’s leadership in electrical and power solutions. Division Overview

Markets include renewable energy, OEM, transportation, data center, telecom, utility, extreme environment, power generation and oil & gas. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, promoting professional growth and skill development. Plan, prioritize, and delegate engineering tasks to ensure timely project completions and high standards of quality. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables. Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software or hardware solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and address performance issues as needed. Establish and enforce best practices for coding, testing, and deployment processes. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Manage resource allocation and budgeting for engineering projects. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory standards. Act as a thought leader within the OEM and Wire Management space, supporting marketing with webinars, white papers, and speaking opportunities. Serve as a subject matter expert on the market, solutions, and product capabilities. Skills and Experience

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent market experience in a technical or business field is preferred, with 7–10 years of related experience. Knowledge of current and emerging technologies, methods, standards, applications, related products, and channels of distribution within the electrical market. Preferable experience in the Electrical OEM space or wire management-related design and engineering processes and market applications (e.g., Cable Tray, Cable Cleats). Self-reliant, resourceful, creative, and capable of executing business decisions. Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, and the public. Ability to organize and manage ad-hoc teams to support business opportunities. Apply critical thinking to determine best approaches to bring new products to market and work with engineering, operations, marketing, and sales staff.
