Job Overview The Director, IT Business Solutions & Client Services will oversee a team of functional experts, partners with a business vertical, ensure we invest in the appropriate technology for business capabilities, at the right price, and continue to deliver value over time. Effective delivery of IT services through the management and orchestration of people, products, providers/contractors, and processes. The Director is role is accountable for the delivery of short to mid-term, 1-3-year plans for optimizing the organization, function, or sub-function and the talent required to execute determined strategies. Ensure proper alignment with the enterprise's business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success. The Director is accountable for Vendor Management work, including the Identification and management of technical and IT outsourcing according to organization quality standards and policies; provide advice and training on technical aspects of technical architecture, systems, and solutions, negotiate service level agreements, performance/quality metrics and ensuring contractual obligations are met; resolving vendor problems related to quality, performance, and service levels.
Duties & Responsibilities
Partner with leaders to consult on business strategies, potential technology solutions in both software and infrastructure, as part of the ideation process
Assists in building an effective cross-functional benefit/ROI for new technology solutions
Solidify business outcomes with appropriate finance teams to ensure proper financial governance from implementation through value realization to improve governance model and enforcement of IT services inside/outside of IT to ensure strategic alignment, cost-effectiveness and avoid duplication of effort/costs
Superviseongoing IT project implementations via Program Managerbased on an area of expertise to provide regular executive briefings to key stakeholders; developand governagile scrum teams for successful delivery
Develop and govern agile scrum teams for successful delivery, collaborate effectively with product owners to influence and guide key stakeholders to make smart technology investment decisions
Governsupport of existing IT solutions. Provide periodic briefings to product owners on the ongoing cost of operations. Provide regular feedback to IT communities of service to better enable continuous improvement of support
Understands and advocates for CONA strategies and capabilities in the specific business vertical. Where appropriate, actively participate in workshops and CONA governance routines
Setthe mission and vision of the team to foster a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques. Establish, monitor, and analyzeperformance metrics and service level agreements to ensure business and customer needs are being properly met
Champions involvement in the IT organization's innovation efforts and its role in experimenting with new solutions to take advantage of business opportunities
Directs, leads, and motivates a functional team to deliver results by communicating company goals and deadlines; engaging and developing teammates through effective performance management, coaching, and training; implementing continuous improvement methods and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
7+ years of IT leadership experiencecan be from any technical or business solutions services background
Strongknowledge in modern software, infrastructure, and mobile technologies
Project management and team management skills, across multiple teams, such as planning, budgetary control, people management, etc.
Up-to-date knowledge of methodologies and trends in both business and IT, with preferred experience with Agile methodologies
Ability to handle pressure and deadline-oriented project demands, as well as manage multiple initiatives
Strong change management experience with a passion for leading successful team efforts and projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences at various hierarchical levels
Must be a critical thinkerwith strong problem-solving skills
Must have a strong business and financial acumen with a value mindset, advisory skills, and demonstrated ownership of the function, strategy and objectives assigned
Must have a strong overall knowledge of Risk and IT Security principles
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree four (4) years
Knowledge acquired through 7 or more years of work experience
Degree in a technology-related field, Applied Business, or equivalent work or education-related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge acquired through 7 or more years of work experience
Degree in a technology-related field, Applied Business, or equivalent work or education-related experience
