Patient Service Representative - ENT Clinic F/T Days at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. The role supports the service area by checking patients in and out of appointments and delivering exemplary customer service to patients and guests. Salary and Benefits
Salary range: $18.64 - $25.16 per hour. Placement within the range depends on relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the collective bargaining agreement. Responsibilities
Check patients in and out of appointments; greet patients and guests, confirm identity, and provide information related to their visit. Complete check-in/out functions; confirm and update patient identification, demographic and insurance information; complete patient registrations as needed. Obtain patient consents/authorizations; collect co-pays, past due balances, and point-of-service payments. Post payments, process billing information, and perform end-of-day cash drawer closing. Keep waiting area clean and comfortable; inform patients of delays or changes in appointment status. Schedule appointments as necessary; for PSRs in Immediate Care Clinics, float to other ICCs/departments as needed. May perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Required: High school diploma or GED; 0–2 years of experience in a customer service position. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree; previous healthcare experience; working knowledge of medical terminology; bilingual. Equal Opportunity
