The Multi-Domain Solutions Division at Leidos is seeking an experienced
Network Solutions Engineer
to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in supporting the Advanced Battle Management System's (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) Network Manager program. In this pivotal mission, you will assist the Department of the Air Force (DAF) in developing and operating the ABMS Digital Infrastructure, which is essential for establishing a unified command-and-control system that connects and integrates various sensors, data streams, and weapon systems across all domains, including air, land, sea, cyber, and space. This innovative infrastructure will empower U.S. forces, along with allies, to swiftly sense, comprehend, and respond to a multitude of data and information, outpacing adversaries. Primary Responsibilities: Design and evaluate network architecture while providing comprehensive Network Engineering support.
Develop and enforce policies aimed at optimizing application delivery and enhancing security protocols.
Collaborate with Tier 2 Managers to regularly monitor network devices for optimal performance.
Conduct thorough security assessments and implement necessary upgrades and patches.
Engage with network engineers, system administrators, and application developers to ensure the seamless integration of network solutions; including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Juniper network hardware and software.
Offer technical expertise to swiftly resolve networking issues and manage equipment configurations while adhering to a configuration management process throughout the systems lifecycle.
Basic Qualifications: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience or MS with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
Active Secret clearance with the potential to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Proven experience in configuring, activating, testing, and analyzing network systems.
Familiarity in the following areas: Python script development.
Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana.
Linux systems administration.
Windows systems administration.
Adeptness at working in a collaborative team environment while being self-motivated to complete tasks and enhance proficiency in processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication, team-building, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Holds a Juniper or Cisco certification.
Experience providing support for RedHat systems.
Familiarity with SD-WAN.
Experience with SAFe Agile implementation.
Prior involvement with complex multi-domain systems.
Experience related to large weapon systems and command & control platforms within the DoD.
Understanding of Cloud and Edge Computing and Networking design.
Possession of a TS/SCI clearance.
