Lead Configuration Manager

Description The Multi-Domain Solutions Division at Leidos is seeking a Lead Configuration Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your skills in supporting the Advanced Battle Management System's (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) Network Manager program. Our mission is to collaborate with the Department of Air Force (DAF) in managing the design, development, integration, validation, operation, and maintenance of innovative features and capabilities on the DI Network. ABMS is a critical modernization initiative for the DAF, serving as the foundation for a network-centric approach to battle management in collaboration with all services within the Department of Defense. This broader initiative, known as Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2), aims to empower U.S. forces – alongside allies and partners – to process and act on extensive data and information more swiftly than our adversaries. Preferred candidates will be able to work in Northern Virginia, Dayton, OH, or Orlando, FL; however, remote work options are also available. Primary Responsibilities Lead and manage configuration management activities, including action item tracking, deliverable reviews, and maintaining CM integrity. Collaborate with the team to establish and uphold configuration baselines across development, testing, and production. Evaluate and recommend automated CM tools to execute CM policies and procedures effectively. Develop and refine CM plans, policies, and procedures that suit the project's complexity. Enforce CM discipline throughout the system lifecycle, from initial requirements to system end-of-life. Engage in systems engineering efforts to ensure program compliance, enhance lifecycle processes, conduct audits, and prepare for formal program reviews with management and stakeholders. Conduct change control and configuration audits. Participate in regular meetings across all program domains, including formal interactions with customers. Fulfill additional responsibilities as required by the program. Basic Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must hold a minimum of a Secret clearance with the ability to secure a TS/SCI clearance. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with relevant experience (12-15 years for Bachelor's, 10-13 years for Master's). Exceptional communication skills to present ideas and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong organizational, analytical, and presentation skills to structure data according to customer requirements. Proactive approach to problem-solving and initiative in addressing challenges independently. Sound time management and organizational abilities to prioritize tasks and adhere to deadlines. Anticipate customer needs and proactively resolve potential issues. Experience in cross-functional planning and system integration activities. Able to collaborate with individuals from various disciplines and technical backgrounds. Prior experience in configuration management design and execution. Expertise in developing Configuration Management Plans and documentation. Proficiency with software Configuration Management tools. Experience in creating and managing configuration baselines, including both hardware and software. Ability to swiftly understand new concepts, tools, and technologies and apply them in a fast-paced environment. Clearance Required Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Jira and other Atlassian products. Familiarity with workflows for software release automation. Experience with defense-related weapons systems and command/control platforms. ITIL Foundation Certification. Previous TS/SCI Clearance. Join us in innovating and solving complex challenges.
