BluePearl Pet Hospital in Downtown Seattle, WA is seeking a Relief Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency Department!
LVT Pay:
$25.60 - $49.15 / hour
This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through the CareerTrax leveling system .
We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends.
*Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.
For example:
Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.50 Shift Differential
Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $8.00 Shift Differential
Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.50 Shift Differential

At BluePearl Pet Hospital, the role of Veterinary Technician is an exciting, fast-paced opportunity that allows you to utilize and expand your skills, working alongside talented veterinary professionals.
As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:
Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
Triage emergency cases upon arrival, including obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
Understand normal ranges of patient vital signs, including heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting the veterinarian to any changes or issues.
Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
Calculate medical dosages accurately, including constant rate infusions, and administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels proficiently.
Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
Mentor and train other team members.
Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
