Overview
This role is based onsite at our San Clemente, CA facility. The base salary range for this role is $68,640 - $73,000.

The HR Coordinator supports the HR function at a dynamic food manufacturing facility by executing key HR administrative processes, supporting employee programs, and assisting with recruiting and onboarding activities. Under the guidance of the Sr. Human Resources Manager, this role partners closely with operations leadership and staffing agencies to support workforce needs and ensure a positive employee experience. This role is ideal for early-career HR professionals who are eager to grow their HR expertise in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting efforts for hourly and contingent roles.
- Coordinate candidate communications, interviews, background checks, and onboarding activities.
- Support agency coordination to ensure timely and accurate labor fulfillment.
- Help facilitate new hire orientation and training logistics.
HR Operations & Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS data.
- Assist in the administration of HR programs, including benefits, leave of absence tracking, timekeeping, and employee documentation.
- Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws.
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Act as a resource to employees by responding to routine HR questions.
- Support employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and culture-building events.
- Help promote a culture of safety, accountability, and respect.
Policy & Compliance Support
- Assist with ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Help with reporting, audits, and maintaining required documentation.
- Support investigations and compliance tracking as needed.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with operations, EHS, maintenance, and other teams to support workforce initiatives.
- Assist HR leadership in implementing workforce strategies aligned with operational needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 6 months of HR internship or entry-level experience OR 2–5 years of professional experience with exposure to HR functions.
- Experience supporting a warehouse, manufacturing, or hourly workforce strongly preferred.
- Basic understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new HR systems.

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
