Cybersecurity Program Manager
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives within a fast-paced technology environment. This role will oversee multiple large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, risk management frameworks, and cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, analytical problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

This role is onsite in Portland, Oregon.

Cybersecurity Program Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale cybersecurity projects and programs from initiation through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, scopes, and timelines using established PMO tools and methodologies.
  • Coordinate across multiple teams, including internal resources, external vendors, and other project managers, to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Identify and manage program interdependencies, risks, and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
  • Facilitate regular program reviews and provide executive-level reporting on progress, challenges, and financial performance.
  • Oversee vendor partnerships, ensuring deliverables, costs, and schedules remain aligned with contractual and project goals.
  • Define resource requirements, negotiate priorities, and maintain a balanced workload across multiple initiatives.
  • Implement change control processes and ensure compliance with established governance and security policies.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive project documentation and ensure consistent adherence to organizational standards.

Cybersecurity Program Manager Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive project or program management experience leading large-scale technology or cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Advanced understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and risk management principles.
  • Proven success managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs within high-impact or regulated environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a structured approach to issue resolution.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
  • Skilled in facilitating cross-functional meetings and navigating challenging conversations with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Experience with business process improvement and organizational change management is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in business, technology, or related field preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
