Job Description:
The Group Directors set strategic direction for their assigned dentsu brands, overseeing digital and programmatic teams supporting our agencies (Carat, dentsuX, iProspect). You have in-depth knowledge of programmatic and the direct digital landscape, are proficient in multiple buying platforms, and work independently to deliver campaign success and business objectives for your respective book(s) of business.You are successful in navigating ambiguity, prioritizing and coordinating team workflow, and can deliver solutions to complex problems. You have experience managing campaigns to exceed performance metrics and client goals, and stay updated on ad tech changes, and drive innovation through problem-solving using data, tech, and creativity.Group Directors are accountable for operational efficiency, client relationships, and cultivate their status as a trusted advisor to both clients and team members. They deliver strategic vision, foster excellence, and drive initiatives to keep dentsu at the forefront of media.You will report to the VP, Digital, Microsoft, and manage 2 direct reports. Main Responsibilities: Oversee programmatic and digital direct strategy and lead development of tactical recommendations
Act as an inspiring leader to account team and manage daily activities of direct reports, promoting a culture of collaboration, ensuring team operations align with client goals and strategic vision
Lead client relationships, priorities, and client communication
Communicate frequently with agency leads and client to connect on team performance, campaign health, and strategic growth opportunities
Balance a portfolio of brands and/or clients and prioritize accordingly
Share strategies to enhance campaign performance and executional knowledge with peers and assigned clients
Experience with DSP, SSP, publisher direct, ad serving and brand verification partners
Adopt and enforce established team operational standards and best practices
Drive innovation for assigned brands, managing monthly investment tracking and revenue across clients
Contribute to and lead development of thought leadership, POVs, or other shareable collateral that improves the level of knowledge across digital and programmatic investment team
Frequently contribute to new business pitches
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree
10 years’ experience within the programmatic and digital industry
Experience with management of a successful team
Experience across all digital media channels and ability to eloquently speak to each
History of developing positive, ongoing client relationships, with strong focus on client service
Experience managing complexity across multiple groups, clients, and interagency partners
Demonstrated ability to see “the story” or “the big picture” to drive organizational and client success
Collaboration mindset that & overdeliver on expectations
Proficient in programmatic technology, platform, and partner solutions, including but not limited to, DSPs, ad servers, ad verification platforms, planning/financial platforms, DMPs, analytics & reporting dashboards.
The hourly pay range for this position is $73.34 – $118.68. The hourly pay rate for the successful candidate is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Temporary employees are eligible for paid holidays in accordance with dentsu policy, as well as safe and sick time.
