Palo Alto Networks
Job Description
Your Career
In this role, you will primarily focus on asset attribution (the process of attributing ownership of assets to an organization). Each analyst is responsible for fully identifying and assessing an organization’s “attack surface.” Attack surface refers to all possible internet-facing access points that a malicious actor can use to compromise a company’s system. Using various internal and external research techniques, attribution analysts determine which internet-facing assets belong to a company of interest by investigating the registration information of those assets, including domains, certificates, and IP networks. The analysts focus on a specific company's profile (geographical location, company structure, company naming conventions, historical information, etc.) to narrow a broad scope of probable assets to those linked to the company of interest. A process we refer to as "attack surface discovery."
This is an ideal role for individuals (without a cybersecurity background) seeking to break into cybersecurity. If you have an analytical mind, an aptitude for technically minded work, and an interest in working in cyber, this is for you!
