The Executive Director (ED) is the chief strategist and day-to-day manager for Main Street Marianna and for the Downtown and West End Community Redevelopment Areas (CRAs). The ED leads economic vitality, design, promotion, and organization initiatives for the Main Street district; administers CRA programs and budgets; advances capital and placemaking projects; and serves as the primary liaison among businesses, property owners, residents, City/County staff, boards, and partner organizations. Success is measured by visible improvement to the built environment, private-sector investment, job creation/retention, vibrant streets, and strong fiscal stewardship of CRA trust funds. The Main Street Marianna Executive Director is responsible for implementing the strategic goals and objectives of MS in accordance with the organization’s stated mission and the guidelines established by the National Main Street program. The Executive Director enables the Board to fulfill its governance function, provides leadership in effective administration, and leads the staff and volunteers of MS. The Main Street program executive director coordinates activities within a downtown or commercial district revitalization program that utilizes historic preservation as an integral foundation for downtown economic development. The director is responsible for the development, conduct, execution and documentation of the Main Street program. The program director is the principal staff person responsible for coordinating all program activities and volunteers, as well as representing the community regionally and nationally as appropriate. In addition, the program director should help guide the organization as its objectives evolve. The responsibilities of the Executive Director include oversight and management of all internal and external operations of Marianna Main Street, inclusive of but not limited to communications & marketing, fundraising and grant writing, community & economic development, event and program coordination, design, volunteer management, small business support, and strategic planning. Reports to: Main Street Board of Directors and CRA Boards (Downtown & West End) Works closely with: City Manager/Designee, Finance, Planning/Permitting, Public Works, Police/Fire, County agencies, FDOT, Chamber/EDO, tourism, schools, civic groups
