Conduct research on metabolic liver injury and inflammation/fibrosis in MASLD
Perform mouse experiments using intravital microscopy
Analyze single-cell and spatial sequencing and multiplex immunostaining data from human and mouse samples
Develop innovative methods and concepts in MASLD research and collaborate with clinicians, bioinformaticians, systems biologists, and experimental researchers in a highly interdisciplinary setting
Contribute to the supervision of PhD students and junior researchers
Prepare scientific publications and present results at national and international conferences
According to Section 110 (4), sentence 3 of the Berlin Higher Education Act (BerlHG), academic staff are entitled to an appropriate amount of time during working hours for their own academic further qualification
A completed doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in bioinformatics, biology, biochemistry, systems biology, or a related discipline
Strong background in experimental biology, immunology, or hepatology
Interest in interdisciplinary teamwork within the CRC/TR 412 consortium
Enthusiasm for microscopy and image data analysis
Experience in analyzing multi-omics data (proteomics, metabolomics, and/or genomics, transcriptomics) with strong biological insight
Skills in statistical analysis, computational tools and programming are desirable
Experience with mouse models and in vivo experiments
Scientific curiosity and passion for addressing clinically relevant problems
Transparent and independent working style
Excellent English language proficiency and computer literacy
High-quality publication record
