Overview

Waste Processing Technician I (WPT I) at Reworld Waste is an entry level position responsible to safely perform fundamental tasks based on the business unit, including off-loading inbound trucks, waste stream QA/QC, container verification, and data necessary for waste processing. Responsibilities may include container sampling, recognizing non-conforming material, and processing of material through shredding operations, direct loading into solidification pit, LDI, and related equipment. The WPT I should have a general mechanical understanding of waste processing equipment and operate forklift, forklift attachments, hose, and valves as needed.

Responsibilities

• Understand basic facility permit requirements and conduct daily activities to support safety and compliance.
• Operate equipment including pressure washers, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
• Off-load inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.
• Process inbound material using facility and mobile equipment.
• Complete and submit all facility-related paperwork (receiving, piece count, material verification, manifest review, etc.) for regulatory and safety record keeping.
• General cleaning of facility and grounds.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of experience.
• Able to pass respirator fit test.
• Ability to utilize NetSuite.
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to operate forklifts and hand trucks; lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Physical ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, or twist for extended periods; walk/stand/sit for extended periods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate safety awareness in various weather conditions and work environments.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly pay range: $20.57 - $25.13. This is a good-faith estimate; final salary may reflect experience, ability, and location. Reworld is committed to paying equitably and these ranges are not career salary caps.
