Reworld Waste is hiring: Waste Processing Technician I in Hodgkins

About The Role

Waste Processing Technician I – entry level position at Reworld Waste. Responsible for safely performing fundamental waste processing tasks: off‑loading inbound trucks, QA/QC of waste streams, container verification, sampling, shredding operations, and loading into solidification pit.

Responsibilities

• Mind basic facility permit requirements and support safety and compliance.
• Operate equipment including pressure washers, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools per company policies and OSHA.
• Off‑load inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.
• Process inbound material using facility and mobile equipment.
• Submit facility paperwork (receiving, piece count, material verification, manifest review, etc.) for regulatory and safety record keeping.
• Perform general cleaning of facility and grounds.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred); GED available through Reworld.
• 1+ year experience.
• Pass respirator fit test.
• Utilize NetSuite, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) effectively.
• Operate forklifts and hand trucks; lift and move up to 50 lbs; able to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, twist, stand, sit for extended periods.
• Good judgement, problem‑solving, attention to detail, time management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Consistently perform safely in varied weather and work environments.
