Responsibilities
Shift 6am to 6pm 2-2-3 schedule Clean equipment, production and storage areas in preparation for food manufacturing as described by the SSOP for the task. Cleaning may include use of chemicals, manual scrubbing, Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Clean-Out of-Place (COP). Cleaning may involve use of lifts, ladders and other tools. Disassemble and assemble machinery and equipment as required for cleaning and inspection Complete all required documentation following task completion and conduct post-sanitation inspections Perform duties as assigned by the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) Perform titration of sanitation chemicals to verify proper concentrations. Possess knowledge of chemical usage, hazards, PPE requirements, and ensure proper usage of chemicals by team members. Understand SSOP's, GMP's and safety requirements Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Comply with applicable environment, health and safety rules, procedures, laws and accepted safe work practices. Assist with training of new Sanitation personnel in the safe performance of their duties. Follow all SQF principles pertinent to the position as specified by the SQF Practitioner. Perform other duties as assigned. Responsible for machine operation that perform one or more packaging functions such as filling, weighing, or code labeling containers Verifies the surfaces of the machines and components are sanitary and in good working condition. Verify correct packaging is loaded into the machines and weight limits are set for each package. Confirm product specification is met prior to machine operation. Inspects filled container to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications. Confirms the seal integrity of package, coding of package, setup of conveyors and checkweigher accuracy. Complete required product verifications Record transactions in SAP to ensure inventory accuracy Demonstrate proper food handling procedures Complete job tasks in a timely manner to maintain the level of production required Other duties as assigned Regular heavy lifting of raw ingredients with a weight range of 40 -60 pounds. Ability to use a pallet jack, powered lift, scissor lift. Ability to use basic math skill.
