The HR Advisor is responsible for supporting the project management teams for execution of start-up and close projects.
Additionally, it is also the responsibility of the HR Advisor in advising the rig management or rig teams on various HR related matters. The HR Advisor will work closely with Rig Managers / Unit Directors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Formal education at minimum bachelor’s degree level within relevant field
Minimum of 3+ years of relevant working experience within HR
Good knowledge of offshore requirements and Oil and Gas industry
Experience with working in an international setting, i.e., cultural understanding
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
Solid understanding of HR processes, HR System and Crewing
Experience in Project Management
Stakeholder management
Strong sense of urgency
HR generalist and specialist knowledge
Understanding of business and industry-specific issues
Analytical skills and Business Acumen
Experience with legal compliance
Detail oriented and high ability to have several tasks open at the same time
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of crisis management manual and medivac procedures
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Overall responsible for the HR activities of the rig to ensure a smooth running of the operations.
Dealing with individual crew members on complex matters.
Drive employees’ performance management and succession planning with a view to identify and handle (transfer / promotion / demotion / termination) of the employees.
Initiate recruitment activities including job offer
Support rig management and manning with informal and formal disciplinary actions, notify employer when formal actions are needed and conduct disciplinary hearing.
In collaboration with relevant Crew Coordinators, ensure all matters in connection with illness, accidents and deaths are handled in accordance with the Company procedures and policies.
Provide support to UD/RM/HOD with Pulse survey and other HR related matters
If applicable, support Legal in creating local onshore and offshore handbook
Drive Annual Wheel and Ad hoc project roll-out from HQ
Create POs for HR activities and follow up on PO closure and invoice approvals
Follow up on invoice payments to suppliers
Ensure that all HR process are created and followed during operation
Support Rig Team with Emergency Response Handling
Emergency response system (activities supporting emergency handling)
Second line support Emergency Response Committee
Contact and Practical arrangement for NOK
Contact with local authorities
Obtain relevant necessary documentation (POB, NOK, ID, hospital reports, etc.)
Support rig in case of medevac,
Meet the crew at heliport/hospital if required
Dialog/arrangements with Medical Support Team (RMI, ISOS etc.)
Arrange on ground transport and hospital booking in case medical support team was not able to or slow in their response.
Legal compliance and Local regulations
Employment laws – knowledge of local employment law
Monitor work permits handling to ensure completion
Work with Finance on arranging tax payment and issuing tax letters to the crew (where applicable)
Ensure compliance with unions
Ensure compliance with local practice and legislation
Other responsibilities also include but not limited to:
Participate in calls on a regular basis with Rig, Rig team and HQ
Monitoring the HR system within own area of responsibility
Identify HR related areas requiring special attention
All roles and responsibilities should be performed in compliance to our SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
Provide input and feedback on improvement of current HR policies
