Responsibilities
Post and update job descriptions on the HR shared drive and recruiting platforms.
Corporate recruiting and onboarding for Riverside Transport, Inc. and Transco Lines, Inc.
Organize and attend career fairs (military, college, and workforce).
Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and schedule face-to-face interviews with Hiring Managers.
Ensure employees are set up with proper trainings and conduct follow-up interviews after 30/90 days of employment.
Provide information on company benefits and assist with offers of employment and onboarding processes (including background checks, I-9 paperwork onsite, new hire information in HRIS, updated personnel files, and timekeeping system updates).
Assist with onboarding paperwork and ensure new hire orientation includes signing the Job Description for their file.
Complete reference checks and background checks; follow up with Hiring Manager on results.
Respond to benefit-related questions and manage daily HR inquiries via email and phone.
Administer the leave process (personal leave, FMLA, Military leave) and track leave accordingly.
Update FLSA classification in the organization and stay current with regulatory changes.
Ensure I-9 compliance and perform internal I-9 audits.
Assist the HR Manager with day-to-day HR functions and support Employment Law (FMLA and ADA) awareness and documentation.
Communicate benefit options to new hires when HR Manager is unavailable; demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
Proficiency with TMW Database software, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
