We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our rapidly growing Accounting team in Salt Lake City, UT. As part of our Accounting Resource group, you will be a key member of a visible, accessible, and dedicated service team in a rewarding and high-energy work environment. You will share responsibility for supporting field and Service Center personnel, helping them to function at peak efficiency and work in compliance with applicable laws. In this role, you will play a key role in managing the close cycle for 65+ locations, ensuring financial accuracy on both the Profit and Loss statement and the Balance Sheet.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creating a monthly profit and loss statement for operations and performing an analysis of key trends and KPIs.
  • Producing revenue and expense reports for internal review.
  • Managing defined balance sheet transactions and reconciling balance sheet accounts to subledgers.
  • Assisting with the preparation of other reports provided by management.
  • Assisting in the preparation of audit schedules and gathering information for external auditors.
  • Recording and reviewing monthly journal entries into the general ledger system for assigned operations.
  • Assisting with the operations in monthly projection preparation.
  • Partnering with field leaders to improve accounting processes.
  • Preparing and reviewing key controls.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and proven ability to apply technical accounting principles.
  • 3+ years of experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet internal financial information due dates.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Build relationships with locations and field leaders.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and manage a remote team.
  • Understand how to read and interpret financial statements.
  • Intermediate/Advanced in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient with other Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Professional written and oral communication.

Preferences

  • Experience with an ERP and reporting software.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry and HIPAA.
  • CPA license.
