Overview We’re looking for a Full‑Time Head Captain to lead the bar team at our restaurant. This is a hands‑on role designed for someone who thrives during service, sets the tone behind the bar, and leads by example every shift. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a high standard of execution, consistency, and hospitality while supporting seasonal beverage development and light bar operations.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a lead bartender during service, ensuring quality, pace, and hospitality remain high
Set and uphold standards for bar cleanliness, prep, and presentation
Be a steady, positive presence behind the bar and help maintain a smooth, supportive team dynamic
Communicate with management and the floor team throughout service to support flow and guest experience
Collaborate with leadership on seasonal cocktail development and R&D
Ensure cocktails are made to spec and consistent across shifts
Maintain prep systems (juicing, batching, garnishes) to ensure daily readiness
Help identify opportunities to refine and streamline drink execution
Offer on‑floor training and mentorship to bartenders and barbacks
Lead by example in service, pace, hospitality, and teamwork
Support onboarding and bar training for new team members
Assist with weekly inventory and help track par levels
Communicate product or equipment needs to management
Help maintain bar organization and cleanliness in line with DOH standards
Ideal Candidate
3+ years of bartending experience, including some leadership or trainer experience
Confident and calm in high‑volume, guest‑facing environments
Passionate about service and hospitality, not just speed
Skilled in classic technique, seasonal cocktails, and prep systems
Values communication, consistency, and teamwork
Organized and proactive in maintaining a clean, efficient bar
Compensation $20/Hr + Tips
