Job Summary Wright State University and Premier Health have entered into an enhanced affiliation agreement that will transform health care delivery in the Miami Valley and beyond. As part of this collaboration, we seek physicians with a demonstrated ability to enhance and elevate academic health organizations in clinical care, research, and education. The role supports clinical care, academic training, and scholarly activity while advancing innovative health care delivery models.
Minimum Qualifications
MD, DO, or MBBS degree.
Completed Internal Medicine residency.
Completed or currently enrolled in Infectious Disease fellowship.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.
Ohio Medical License.
Federally issued DEA License.
Preferred Qualifications Dynamic individuals with strategic communication and diplomacy skills that support regional transformation in health care are encouraged to apply.
Essential Functions
Opportunity for acute care infectious disease consult service with some outpatient requirements.
Antibiotic Stewardship Center of Excellence through IDSA.
Clinical teaching, supervision, and patient care on the division’s services, including contributions to inpatient teaching service and Miami Valley Infection Specialists clinics; working with a large outpatient HIV population and other infectious diseases.
Participation in didactic teaching, journal clubs, clinical conferences, and other teaching assignments for residents and medical students, as assigned by department leadership.
Contributing to the division’s clinical, research, and teaching missions.
Non-Essential Functions Defined by department needs and collaborative priorities.
Working Conditions Position is a Premier Health Network role. Working conditions include full-time clinical duties at Miami Valley Hospital, a full-service acute care hospital located in Dayton, Ohio.
