Overview
This role sits within the Personal Care R&D team in Trumbull and focuses on leading formulation and project management for new product innovations. The successful candidate will drive the integration of breakthrough technologies into the Dove Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant innovation pipeline, collaborating cross-functionally with category format design R&D, Marketing, CTI/Claims, Procurement, Supply Chain, and external partners to translate insights and claims into market-relevant products. Who You Are & What You’ll Do
Work includes formulation, stability, safety and performance testing, processing, specifications, patents, etc. Act as R&D partner to brand teams in scoping and launching products. Help deliver products against technical briefs and be responsible for ensuring specifications of Formulation, Process, Packaging and Quality Assurance are correct and delivered against project timings. Responsible for working with internal R&D teams to translate technology roadmaps into insightful innovations that can win in the marketplace. Develop and drive productive working relationships with a range of internal and external development partners, including Category Format Design, Process Eng., Packaging, Consumer Technical Insight & Claims, Specifications, Safety, Brand Teams, Supply Chain, 3P manufacturers, RM Suppliers, etc. Responsible for risk management, claims and legal compliance and for intellectual property protection and patent, regulatory and SEAC clearance for internally sourced formulations. Responsible for managing relationships with, & OTIF output of supplier, partners and for stakeholder management regarding technical issues/status. With minimum supervisory input, must demonstrate the ability to present information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Responsible for managing relationships with factories, suppliers and internal/external partners for stakeholder management regarding technical issues/status. What You’ll Need To Succeed
Bachelors Degree required. Chemical Engineer or Chemistry preferred. Experience in technical management specializing in product formulation. Working knowledge of ingredients, formulation, process and product Design principle. Strong proven technology and/or project deliveries to market. Working knowledge in leading Type 1&2 formulation development as well as working in partnership for Type 3&4 formulation development. Project and time management skills to coordinate multiple work streams and timelines for innovation projects. Working knowledge of root cause analysis, problem solving techniques and application to existing and new products. Excellent communication and presentation skills | Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships and strong Influencing skills. Proficiency in SAP PLM and Microsoft office suite (Teams, Excel, Word, Power point) and JMP analysis. Compensation
Pay:
$69,360 to $104,040 per year. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and business requirements. Bonus:
Position is bonus eligible. Long-Term Incentive (LTI):
