Your mission We are seeking a proactive and network-driven Partnerships Development Manager to expand our presence in the utility-scale solar market across Germany. The primary responsibility of this role is to identify, onboard, and manage Handelsvertrieb (agents) and intermediaries who can connect our company to potential customers, including emerging project developers and emerging EPCs within solar sector in Germany. This position requires strong relationship-building skills, a deep understanding of the renewable energy ecosystem, and the ability to create an effective partner network that drives sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities Agent Identification & Engagement
Map Germany utility-scale solar landscape to identify key agents, brokers, and intermediaries with access to target customers.
Evaluate potential partners’ networks, capabilities, and credibility to ensure alignment with company standards.
Negotiate agreements and onboard agents to represent the company in the market.
Network Development
Build and maintain a structured agent network to generate qualified leads and project opportunities.
Provide training and resources to agents, ensuring they understand company offerings, value proposition, and positioning.
Monitor and support agents in their customer interactions to maximize business results.
Market & Relationship Management
Act as the main point of contact between agents and internal teams (sales, project development, legal, finance).
Support agents in connecting the company with potential customers, facilitating introductions and early‑stage discussions.
Collect market intelligence through the agent network to inform strategy, identify trends, and track competitor activity.
Commercial & Strategic Contribution
Develop KPI frameworks to assess agent performance and ROI.
Report on pipeline growth, customer leads, and partnership outcomes to senior management.
Contribute to the overall go‑to‑market strategy in Germany utility‑scale solar sector.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in
business development, indirect sales,
in the
renewable energy / solar sector
(utility‑scale experience strongly preferred).
Strong network and understanding of the
Germany solar market and regulatory environment .
Proven track record in building and managing agent/partner networks within the solar sector.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset, able to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders.
Fluent in
German and English ; additional languages are a plus.
Willingness to travel across Germany regularly.
