Job Summary (Senior Power BI Developer) W2 role Scottsdale, Arizona
Collaborate with business and technology teams to define technical vision and requirements for high-value BI solutions.
Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications for reporting solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, reusable, and performant BI code and data models.
Conduct code reviews and recommend alternative solutions as needed.
Actively participate as a member of a Scrum/Agile team, engaging in planning, grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
Foster productive relationships with project sponsors, system users, and application vendors to align business and IT needs.
Build and optimize tabular and multi-dimensional models for self-service BI use.
Manage and analyze large-scale data environments (>5TB), leveraging expertise in SQL and data mining/optimization.
Provide actionable insights by developing sophisticated yet user-friendly reporting solutions.
Maintain a strong focus on problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement at all levels.
Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or Statistics (Master’s preferred).
At least 6 years of experience in BI, data analysis, reporting, engineering, or science within data warehouse environments.
Minimum 3 years’ experience with BI tools, especially Power BI or Qlik.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.
Strong SQL programming skills and experience with large datasets.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with business stakeholders.
