invites applications for the Test Engineer role in Minneapolis, MN. This fully onsite position supports the Engineering Approvals Team.
Responsibilities
Interpret and apply applicable safety and performance standards.
Participate in sustaining and new product development teams to capture and document global hazardous location and performance requirements.
Develop test and certification strategies to meet those requirements.
Create test plans, oversee and interpret test results in compliance with company and industry standards and policies.
Prepare technical justifications and technical documents to demonstrate compliance with applicable standards.
Interface directly with third‑party certification agencies and manage projects with them.
Write and execute test protocols in accordance with approval standards and procedures, record results, and write test reports.
Qualifications
Proficiency in test engineering, product testing, requirements analysis, validation, and test plan development.
Experience in software testing, firmware, hardware, and full system testing.
Ability to read and interpret requirements, fix bugs, and troubleshoot.
Competence in interpreting data and results, test equipment, electrical testing, and test development.
Proficiency in requirements gathering and Python.
BSEE preferred.
1–4 years’ experience in firmware formal verification and/or validation, product testing, and requirements.
At least 1 year experience in standards‑based testing, including environmental testing.
Understanding of design requirements and application in product evaluation through technical analysis and testing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Experience with sustaining and new product development projects.
Working knowledge of product development processes, particularly verification and validation testing.
Experience in the design and certification of products used in hazardous locations, including performance certifications.
Familiarity with hazardous location and performance standards (FM, CSA, ATEX, IECEx).
Pay and Benefits Pay range: $38.00–$44.00/hr.
