Position Overview
International Manufacturing Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a
Manufacturing Engineer Senior
at our San Antonio Assembly Plant.
This position will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and lead the development and updating of General Assembly production processes through data analysis. You will collaborate directly with R&D, Quality, and production teams to improve product and process design concepts, ensuring systems build trucks to the correct specifications. Additionally, you will work with the AME team to ensure installation and commissioning of new equipment are on time, within budget, and meet metrics during new program launches.
San Antonio Manufacturing operates on a 4x10 schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5:30AM - 4:00PM). The role may require supporting production recovery times, including Fridays and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
Sustain and improve assembly processes through data analysis.
Provide feedback to R&D on DFA requirements and design improvements.
Lead projects related to general assembly process and tooling.
Develop general assembly concepts.
Contribute to internal SOWs for projects.
Maintain product and process integrity through development and monitoring.
Evaluate and manage products and processes to meet delivery and quality standards.
Support analysis of new models during readiness meetings.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or
Master’s degree or
At least 4 years of product manufacturing experience.
Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee) to work in the US. We do not anticipate providing sponsorship for this position. Desired Skills
Expertise with automotive tooling and equipment design and build.
Proven large-scale project management skills.
Knowledge of automotive or truck assembly processes.
Ability to lead and work within a matrix organization.
Experience with 3D product viewer/TeamCenter.
Experience with production and project commissioning.
Exposure to error-proofing concepts, ERP systems, order management, stamping, and AGVs.
