Base Pay Range $72,800.00/yr - $83,200.00/yr

Maintenance Director – Responsibilities

Plan, organize, staff, direct, coordinate, report, budget, and physically manage the Maintenance, Laundry, and housekeeping department’s employees and equipment to maximize cleanliness and order throughout the building.

Assure laundry services for both resident clothing and facility linen are maintained.

Recruits, interviews, verifies references, and employs the number and kinds of personnel needed.

Supervises scheduling of sufficient staff to ensure uninterrupted service to the facility and residents at all times.

Supervises purchasing, storage, and distribution of all housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry supplies.

Oversees all fire, disaster, and evacuation drills for all shifts.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the Administrator.

Works as weekend Supervisor as part of Department head monthly rotation.

Be on call seven (7) days a week, 24 hours a day to troubleshoot in any and all kinds of emergencies or urgent repairs.

Schedules and oversees all life safety required inspections, fire alarm, sprinkler, generator etc.

Maintains all housekeeping, laundry, dietary, HVAC, and facility equipment in operating condition.

Maintenance Director – Qualifications

High school diploma is preferred.

Some business and personnel management training is also preferred.

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, heating and air-conditioning. Licensure or certification in any of these areas a plus.

Knowledge of OSHA and IDPH Regulations relevant to housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance.
