Dal-Tile is seeking a dynamic
ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN SALES REP
to join the team! The Architectural Sales Rep is responsible for all sales activities from lead generation to sales closure through a framework of both specified and unspecified projects. They will develop and implement an approved marketing plan which will meet both personal and business goals. The role involves increasing commercial sales in the designated territory by calling on Architects, Designers, and National Accounts to obtain proprietary specifications for Dal-Tile. Travel throughout the assigned region to call on regular and prospective customers including Architects, Designers, Developers, General Contractors, and National Accounts. Require 3-5 calls per day with a minimum of 20-25 per week. Identify and establish relationships with the Top 25 architectural and design firms. Maintain architectural libraries in a clean, well-organized manner, replacing outdated samples and placing new products as soon as they are available. Pursue new and maintain existing National Accounts, following up and reporting quarterly on product forecasts and construction schedules. Promote new products during sales calls using actual loose product samples that best represent the product. Schedule regular product knowledge seminars with architectural and design firms, using proper presentation tools, at least 40 times per year. Develop in-depth knowledge of all Dal-Tile products, allied products, and installation methods through vendor presentations, workshops, and joint sales calls. Organize and attend Large Project Tracking Meetings every 4-6 weeks. Report closed/won opportunities' dollar values to track revenue goals. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications include a BA degree or equivalent, with two or more years of sales or industry experience within the A&D community. Floor covering sales or slab experience is preferred. Candidates should be self-starters, highly organized, with excellent time management, communication skills, and the ability to work independently and in groups. Basic computer skills are required. Physical requirements include standing, using hands, reaching, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting, climbing, or balancing. Must be able to lift/move up to 80 pounds.
