Your Role as Clinic Director The Clinic Director leads and manages daily clinic operations, ensuring high‑quality care and alignment with strategic business goals. You will provide direct oversight, support, and development for clinic staff, fostering a positive work culture. From day‑to‑day operations to long‑term strategic planning, your leadership ensures each patient receives the support they need on their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with regional leadership to develop and manage the clinic’s annual budget and strategic business plan.

Serve as the clinic’s final authority on daily operations, collaborating closely with the Medical Director on all clinical and medical matters.

Act as a community liaison, attending events and building partnerships to promote the clinic as a trusted resource.

Develop and implement policies and procedures, including community relations and public affairs.

Ensure delivery of treatment services consistent with internal standards and external regulatory requirements; coordinate submissions of protocols and amendments to federal and state agencies.

Oversee personnel decisions: performance evaluations, staffing, training, hiring.

Provide staff development and ongoing education opportunities.

Maintain clinic‑wide compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, including timely corrective action plans.

Secure management of medications, medical records, and employee documentation.

Uphold patient confidentiality and rights, ensuring proper medical and clinical care.

Lead risk management efforts: risk assessments, incident investigations, data analytics.

Complete annual HealthStream training on risk management topics.

Ensure patients are informed of their responsibilities for safeguarding take‑home medications.

Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Required Education & Experience

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a social, behavioral, or mental health services field from an accredited college or university.

Experience overseeing services in an outpatient setting highly preferred, particularly within MAT, mental health, IOP, PHP, or SUD programs.

Experience working in a narcotic treatment program (MAT) highly preferred.

Your Skills & Qualifications

Proven P&L management experience, maintaining a facility budget.

Demonstrated business development experience, generating patient referral sources and building relationships with community partners and stakeholders.

Experience with payer sources, including Medicare and Medicaid contracts.

Prior management experience required; ability to lead, coach, and support a multidisciplinary team.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong adaptability and problem‑solving skills; receptive to coaching and capable of navigating a dynamic healthcare environment.

Licenses / Certifications

Must have one of the following credentials/licenses, in North Carolina:

CADC or CADC‑I (NCSAPPB)

LCAS or LCAS‑A (NCSAPPB)

LCMHC‑A or LCMHC (NCBLCMHC)

LCSW or LCSW‑A (NCSWB)
