Overview
Substance Use Counselor – CADC, LCAS, LCSW, or LCMHC. Outpatient MAT Opioid Treatment Program based in Greenville, NC. Full-time position focused on counseling patients with opioid use disorder as part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers. Responsibilities
Provide high quality, compassionate individual and group counseling. Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery; prepare individual treatment plans. Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed. Complete timely and clear documentation of patient care, treatment and incidents. Conduct initial and follow-up assessments; evaluate patient needs and determine referrals as needed. Plan for aftercare for assigned patients; provide crisis intervention and case management as needed. Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients when required. Qualifications and Education
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a social or health services field preferred. Degree from an accredited college or university with practicum; licensed or eligible to be licensed. Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings (outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities). Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone. Experience conducting individual and group counseling for substance use recovery; knowledge of CBT, MI, and relapse prevention. Documentation experience for clinical notes, treatment plans, and progress updates per state and federal guidelines. Familiarity with state regulatory standards (e.g., 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission). Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including medical staff, case managers, and peer support specialists. Licenses & Certifications
CADC-I, CADC, LCAS-A, LCAS, LCSW-A, LCSW, LCMHC-A, or LCMHC (license or certification required to apply). Employment Details
