Events Specialist - Full Time at Erlanger
Join Erlanger Health System as an Events Specialist to plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of community and institutional events that elevate our brand, support philanthropic initiatives, and engage patients, staff, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage logistics for signature events including the annual Foundation event, employee recognition ceremonies, community health fairs, sponsorship activations, and other public‑facing experiences.
Coordinate event timelines, budgets, run‑of‑show documents, and planning checklists in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure events are well‑organized, appropriately staffed, and executed to a high standard of professionalism and guest experience.
Collaborate with Development, Marketing, Communications, and hospital departments to align event objectives, branding, and promotion.
Serve as point of contact for vendors (caterers, AV providers, venues) and the Foundation’s external Events Partner for large‑scale events.
Lead on‑site event execution, troubleshoot logistics issues, and represent Erlanger professionally at community settings.
Track attendance, collect feedback, produce post‑event reports, and maintain organized records to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Public Relations, Hospitality, or related field.
3‑5 years of event coordination experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, corporate, or agency setting.
Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed for events.
Preferred: experience in fundraising, employee engagement, or community events within a healthcare setting; familiarity with vendor negotiation and event permitting; proficiency with Microsoft Office and event planning platforms.
