Supply Chain Tech 1 – Rush University Medical Center
Summary:
The Supply Chain Tech 1 is responsible for the day-to-day receipt and distribution of supplies to the medical center units, Environmental Services (EVS), and affiliates. This individual will promote and support the institutional ICARE values and IConnect Service Behaviors, exemplify Supply Chain's mission and vision, and act in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
One-year working experience in a service industry position or equivalent job experience.
High School Diploma/GED.
Basic reading and writing skills and pass Rush math test.
Ability to operate powered equipment safely as required by varying environmental conditions.
Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks with deadlines to meet changing workload demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with personal computers.
Physical Demands:
Physical strength, resilience and endurance required due to vigorous work pace of daily repetitive tasks and weight of merchandise.
Majority of workday spent on feet, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking distances on daily repetitive basis.
Must be able to lift weights up to 50 lbs and 10-25 lbs repetitively daily.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Supply Chain Analyst to receive, deliver, stock and replenish EVS supply closets across the Medical Center and off-site locations.
Utilize hand-held equipment to receive, pack, and unpack items for stocking or delivery on shelves, bins, or point of use locations.
Receive and count stock items with accuracy and record data manually or using the computer.
Verify inventory par levels and reorder replenishment stock accordingly.
Ensure accuracy of received supplies by counting and comparing packing lists or restock lists with delivered goods, inspecting for damage, defects or breakage, and reporting issues to supervisor.
Load and unload AGV system supply carts, park/stage carts for next utilization, and use AGV touch screen to send cart types to scheduled location.
Clean and maintain shelving areas and workstation areas to comply with safety and infection control regulations.
Answer all telephone calls in accordance with department telephone script, ensuring calls are properly answered, appropriate actions followed and in a timely manner.
Perform any and all Supply Chain job functions as assigned or required.
