Audit Senior
to join their
Not-for-Profit
practice. This
Audit Senior
role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated CPA to work with a diverse portfolio of mission-driven
non-profit organisations
while advancing their career in public accounting. The ideal
Audit Senior
candidate will have strong NFP audit experience and a passion for serving the non-profit sector. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple
non-profit audit engagements
from planning through completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards Act as primary day-to-day contact for
non-profit clients , cultivating strong relationships and providing proactive audit services Prepare and review
financial statements , footnotes, and
audit reports
in accordance with
GAAP
and regulatory requirements Identify and communicate accounting issues, internal control deficiencies, and improvement opportunities to clients and senior leadership Technical Expertise
Execute and review
audit procedures
for complex
NFP
areas, including contribution revenue recognition, functional expense allocations, net asset classifications, and grant compliance Apply expertise in
Uniform Guidance ,
Single Audits ,
OMB
requirements, and federal/state grant compliance testing Review staff work papers with attention to detail, providing constructive feedback and technical coaching on
audit methodology Research technical
accounting
and
auditing
matters, staying current with evolving
GAAS
and
Yellow Book
standards Supervise, train, and
mentor staff accountants , fostering their technical and professional development in
public accounting Plan and coordinate
fieldwork , delegate tasks effectively, and monitor engagement progress across multiple
audit engagements Contribute to a collaborative team culture that values quality, learning, and work-life balance Qualifications/Experience
Bachelor's degree in
Accounting
(Master's in Accounting preferred) Active
CPA license
(or actively pursuing and
CPA-eligible ) 3-5 years of progressive
public accounting experience
with substantial
NFP audit
exposure Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in the
busy season Experience
mentoring
or supervising junior staff in
audit
settings Seniority level
