What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Assist applicants in submitting necessary documentation for initial and recredentialing applications
Maintain an accurate physician database and perform daily data entry tasks
Conduct file audits and provide feedback on credentialing files
Communicate regularly with applicants and healthcare professionals to ensure timely completion of credentialing criteria
Prepare documentation of verifications and assist in the reappointment process
What is Required (Qualifications)
Must possess two years of post-high school education, training, or experience
One year of work experience in the healthcare environment
Knowledge of NCQA and TJC standards, NPDB guidelines, and hospital policies
Strong communication skills and ability to convey information clearly
Proficiency in database organization, report generation, and Windows-based software
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Associate's degree in health administration or a related field
Current CPCS and/or CPMSM eligibility by the National Association Medical Staff Services
Strong statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
