Overview
Pinkerton, a 170+ year enterprise risk management leader, seeks a
Supply Chain Security Specialist
to protect client intellectual property (IP). The role, assigned to one of Pinkerton’s largest global clients, will manage the collection, inventory, and secure destruction of IP waste materials, supporting the Supply Chain Security team and IP waste management initiatives.
Responsibilities
Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence. Manage inventory of collected IP waste materials and conduct accurate inventory counts. Coordinate secure destruction events and document all material movements from collection to destruction. Maintain compliance with IP protection protocols and chain‑of‑custody requirements for sensitive materials. Follow company procedures for confidential information handling and best practices in supply‑chain security. Monitor security‑related practices and technology and support project status reporting. Establish strong stakeholder relationships to align with departmental goals. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field and ≥2 years of inventory control or materials handling experience. Understanding of inventory management systems and intellectual property concepts. Preferred certifications: CPP, CPI, CISM, PMP, and/or TAPA Auditor. Knowledge of secure destruction processes and handling of confidential material. Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills at all organizational levels. Team‑member mindset and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Working Conditions
The role requires the physical and mental capacity to perform essential functions, including regular computer usage, occasional reaching and lifting objects up to 50 lbs, frequent sitting/standing/walking, and travel as needed.
