A well-established organization in the

logistics and transportation industry

is seeking an experienced

Human Resources Manager

to lead HR operations and serve as a trusted strategic partner to leadership. This role is based onsite in

Honolulu, HI , overseeing a workforce supporting logistics operations.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in

Hawaii and California labor laws , excellent employee relations skills, and a hands‑on approach to leadership. This is a highly visible role for an HR professional who enjoys working in a structured, fast‑moving environment and partnering closely with leadership to strengthen HR processes, compliance, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily HR operations, supporting both Honolulu and mainland‑based teams.

Serve as the primary HR contact for all employee relations, investigations, and policy interpretation.

Ensure compliance with

Hawaii and California

labor and employment laws.

Partner with leadership on workforce planning, performance management, and policy development.

Manage recruitment and onboarding for key operational and administrative positions.

Oversee benefits administration, leave management, and workers' compensation coordination.

Develop and implement HR initiatives that improve engagement, retention, and compliance.

Lead HR reporting, audits, and correspondence with regulatory agencies as needed.

Champion a positive and inclusive work culture that aligns with organizational goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required

(Human Resources, Business, or related field).

7+ years of progressive HR experience , including at least 3 years in a direct HR Manager or equivalent leadership role.

Strong working knowledge of

Hawaii and California labor laws .

Experience in

logistics, transportation, or aviation

environments preferred.

SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR certification

a strong plus.

Proficient with HRIS and payroll systems (Kronos or similar).

Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and leadership collaboration skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality, sound judgment, and professionalism.
