Corrosion Services Manager
The Corrosion Services Manager is responsible for leading corrosion-related projects and overseeing processes within a dedicated workstream. This leadership role supports project execution, team development, business growth, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a mix of technical expertise, leadership capability, and process improvement skills to support operational excellence across the organization.
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Engineering
8+ years of relevant industry experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; must obtain within 1 year if not currently licensed
NACE Cathodic Protection Level 3 certification required
Cathodic Protection (CP) system design, analysis, troubleshooting

Core Responsibilities Technical Leadership
Oversee all technical aspects of corrosion projects within the workstream
Participate in scope development to ensure appropriate resourcing and clear communication
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) across related projects and teams
Provide design support, guidance on code and standard compliance, and technical troubleshooting
Review projects for quality assurance and alignment with internal standards
Monitor industry changes and update teams accordingly on regulatory or compliance developments
Support compliance and standardization efforts across workstreams
Team Development & Supervision
Guide and mentor technical personnel within the corrosion discipline
Lead training, career path planning, and skill development initiatives
Support hiring, interviewing, and onboarding of new technical staff
Help drive strategic planning and workforce development within the department
Foster a culture focused on performance, ethics, compliance, and client service
Process Improvement
Identify and implement improvements in internal tools, templates, calculators, and procedures
Collaborate on the creation and application of company-wide engineering standards
Ensure consistent execution aligned with internal best practices and external regulations
Business Development
Assist with proposal creation, cost estimating, and resource planning
Review workstream-related proposals for technical accuracy and scope alignment
Maintain and grow client relationships, supporting both existing and potential accounts
Contribute to the development of new service offerings or program enhancements
Training & Knowledge Transfer
Support internal training initiatives for technical personnel
Develop content and structure for career pathing within the corrosion discipline
Ensure new hires and junior staff receive mentoring and developmental guidance
Compliance & Regulatory Support
Maintain familiarity with federal regulations (49 CFR 190, 191, 192, 195, 198)
Interpret regulatory language and its application across project types
Support audits and interactions with regulatory bodies at both state and federal levels
Stay current with AMPP (formerly NACE) standards and their implementation
Strong project management, leadership, and mentoring skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Familiarity with jurisdictional boundaries for pipeline assets
Deep understanding of corrosion control principles and technologies
Knowledge of federal regulations and industry standards
High attention to detail and ability to multitask
Proficiency in:
Microsoft Office Suite
MathCAD
Industry-relevant engineering tools and platforms
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Extended periods of computer-based work
Occasional field visits, including entering and exiting excavations
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs periodically
Travel may be required for field support or industry events
