Description At Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, we are seeking to hire a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - CAM to join our team. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO; Huntsville, AL; or Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. Responsibilities
Plan and execute the program lifecycle, including major program milestones and reviews
Ensure system programmatic and technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW)
Support vertical and horizontal integration across product teams and program life cycle
Interface with inter‑organizational management and external customers to communicate program and technical status
Collect, manage, and support program metrics collection and reporting
Support risk and opportunity products, production of element work products, and track work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule through leadership over element Control Account Managers (CAMs) and Work Package Leads (WPLs)

Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8 years of experience or 6 years with a Master's degree or 4 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of direct CM/DM experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
2+ years’ experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems
2+ years’ experience in team environments with leadership responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to lead teams of multi‑disciplined individuals responsible for the cost and schedule of the technical baseline
Demonstrated ability to interface and collaborate with cross‑functional, multi‑discipline teams to deliver engineer outcomes such as productivity metrics, burn down plans, etc.
Demonstrated Backlog Planning and Management
Risk and Opportunity Management experience
Knowledge of model‑based systems engineering process and artifact creation
Capable of effective communication in a highly technical environment
Willingness to learn program specific technologies/methodologies as applicable to the execution life cycle appropriate for a lead engineering role
Knowledge of Systems Engineering processing from generation of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) to Work Product Breakdown into Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for the development of complex systems of systems
Multi‑Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally
Demonstrated Experience working with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc) or other similar management tool
Experience managing contracts of $10M+
Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities
Primary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $196,700.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
