Systems Administrator - Senior Professional
Location: Smyrna, Georgia | Salary: $75,751 - $110,316
Job Summary Systems Administrators provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for IT systems, hardware, and software. They diagnose system issues, resolve technical problems, and ensure system availability and functionality to support end‑users and business operations.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support, troubleshoot, and issue resolution for IT systems, applications, and hardware.
Respond to system support requests, incidents, and service tickets.
Diagnose system problems, errors, and performance issues to identify root causes and implement solutions.
Install, configure, and maintain system software, applications, and updates.
Document system support procedures, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
Conduct system monitoring, performance tuning, and preventive maintenance.
Provide user training and guidance on system features and best practices.
Stay informed about system support tools and IT service management practices.
Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve complex system support issues.
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four or more years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
Experience managing Active Directory environments, PowerShell scripting, Group Policy, Windows Server Update Services, Windows Server 2022, and Windows 11.
Full understanding of networking concepts and networked application environments.
Security+, CISSP, Network+, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, or related professional certifications.
Familiarity with SIEM tools, vulnerability/compliance scanners, and commercial backup software solutions.
